Sacked by a Cardiologist!

by Carol, Brisbane, Australia

When I was diagnosed with a serious heart condition, I was told the condition was not operable: it could only be treated with medication. For the next 18 months, my health progressively deteriorated, requiring increasingly stronger medication and more hospital trips. It reached the stage where our GP informed me that they were starting to run out of options, but he said, "Don't worry, we will sort something out". This was not very reassuring.

So my husband attended the Rei-ki I course in Brisbane, and from the first night he started to treat me with rei-ki ’hands on’. I was so impressed that I didn’t want to wait till the next Brisbane seminar so I flew to Sydney to take the next Rei-ki I seminar there. Over the next few years my health improved dramatically, with the medication gradually being decreased and longer periods of time between visits to my cardiologist. Four years since my first diagnosis, he told me that I was not the same person he first saw, and that it was no longer necessary for him to see me. He took me off all medication. My GP said, "It’s not every day that you get sacked by a cardiologist. Whatever it is you’re doing, keep doing it."
